Petro heating oil prices

YOW! We received a 120 gallon delivery of fuel oil from Petro Residence solutions (heating oil) on July 3, 2016 on track of $3.049 a gallon! This is certainly for gas oil offered in off-season month of July! My last delivery from Petro was at March, 2016, for 146.1 gallons at $2.24.9/gallon. While Petro had offered me a hard and fast price contract in December, 2015, I declined, albeit taking my chances, or as Petro labeled as it "a risk". I willingly paid my bill in March for services (oil distribution) rendered. I was stunned once I got the balance for my July 3rd distribution at $3.049 gallon.

I phoned Petro and reported as to what I perceived is cost gouging. I requested a price adjustment of $100. The device attendant at the various other end for the line stated that she'd adjust my bill for $50. I recommended we fulfill at the center at $75. She exclaimed that this had not been meeting (her) in the centre, which would, by her mathematics, be $55.00. We told her that i'd accept the woman provide of $50, hence I would be cancelling my automated delivery with Petro. She after that transferred me to "another department". The man just who deals "with consumer complaints all-day" stated that since Petro is a large full-service organization with much expense, it needed to charge $3.0449/gallon becoming viable, hence since I suggested towards the very first phone contact that we intended to cease automated delivery... I would personally never be getting a $50 modification for the reason that it had been for a "loyalty" rebate! Then proceeded to ameliorate my ire by providing a pricing contract from July through July! Petro will never budge, and neither would I.
